Back in Oct-06, I joined a really fast growing mid-sized software company with an exceptional business model. I was given the responsibility of owning our business systems.  We started our mission of using systems for productivity by implementing Salesforce and NetSuite.  It was my first experience with cloud-based business applications (CRM and ERP).  It was an incredible experience, and I am grateful for that beyond measure.

Here is a quick business review we wrote within the first year of our usage of Salesforce and NetSuite:

Gartner Positions Tableau as a Leader in 2013 Magic Quadrant

Gartner’s analysis of the Business Intelligence and Analytics market is the most anticipated and highly respected in the industry. Tableau and other industry observers believe that many organizations will only consider software vendors that appear on the Gartner Magic Quadrant. That’s because Gartner information is based on detailed customer surveys, interviews and Gartner’s own research. In addition to the detailed analysis of vendors, Gartner also reviews major market and industry trends.

Tableau’s products address these trends head-on. Tableau is easy to use and fast to deploy business intelligence software that virtually anyone can use. Tableau plugs into existing IT environments yet gives business users complete flexibility to discover patterns and trends in their data. People easily create and share reports, dashboards and visualizations all within the dictates and protocols of IT. Content is automatically optimized for mobile users. And virtually every data source is supported – including technologies like Hadoop.

ROSTER OF VP BRANDING PARTNERS CONTINUES TO GROW

The momentum of VP’s Brand Program continues to grow with the addition of three new partners including Petromark, Inc., Western States Petroleum and Nebraska Iowa Supply, Inc.  The VP retail program continues to resonate with forward-looking distributors who see its game-changing features as the most effective response to the changes currently overtaking the industry.  The savings offered by unbranded supply and lower credit card processing fees coupled with new revenue from VP-branded products have proven compelling to these distributors, along with the opportunity to stand out with the VP Racing Fuels brand and its Mad Scientist icon.

Petromark, Inc. is based in Harrison, Arkansas and services nearly 220 retail and wholesale sites across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Tennessee.  In partnering with VP, co-owner Steve Turner “focused on VP’s image, very favorable credit card processing program and incremental revenue from other VP-branded products” in an effort to “provide our independent sites the resources to compete in a changing marketplace.”
