Need an excuse to visit beautiful Tahoe, California? Mark you calendars for January 22nd - 23rd for the Salesforce Tahoe Dreamin' Event! This Salesforce Community event is geared towards Salesforce users of all types and experience levels, including administrators, developers, and business users. The first day includes training sessions on all of your favorite Salesforce topics, such as Wave Analytics, the new Lightening Experience, Security, the App Exchange, and Salesforce Career Development.  

As part of the 2-day conference, Tami Esling, a Senior Salesforce Consultant with SaaS Consulting Group, will be presenting on the new Salesforce Lightening Experience. During Tami's presentation, she will help other Salesforce users and administrators become familiar with the new functionality of Salesforce Lightening. 

Specifically, Tami will help answer the following questions:
  • What do you need to consider to evaluate the readiness of your organization for Lightning Experience? 
  • What is the best process to implement Lightning within your company? 
  • How can you create a step-by-step process to implement an effective roll-out plan?

Increase Team Collaboration with Salesforce Chatter

Salesforce Chatter is a robust social enterprise network that can connect sales teams, service and support departments, and a business with its customers. For example, imagine a sales rep needs to collaborate with the sales manager on a new sales opportunity. With Salesforce Chatter, the rep can loop in the manager and keep the dialogue right with the sales opportunity record. Think of Salesforce Chatter as your favorite social media network imbedded in your Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to create new and productive collaboration opportunities across all user groups.

Salesforce Chatter can be utilized to:
  • Allow users to "follow" certain records, such as sales leads and customer support cases and see updates to those records in the Chatter feed.
  • Create specific "groups" for collaboration, such as a group to launch a new marketing campaign, manage an important client, or recruit and retain employees.
  • Elicit feedback from users with polls right in the Chatter feed, such as polls related to goals for the new fiscal year, ways to build an open and innovative company culture, or even what food to serve at the next company event.
  • Upload and access important documents and link those documents to the applicable Salesforce records.
  • Give users an easy way to ask questions to specific groups, such as a group for new employees or a product-specific group.
  • Optimize and increase productivity for the user's mobile experience on the Salesforce1 mobile app.
  • Automate business processes by providing a convenient place to approve or reject quote discounts, case escalations, or other records within Salesforce.
